Fashion Pakistan Week FPW 2018 Winter Festive – Day 1

Although Fashion Pakistan Week 2018 ended last week, we are still deep fixated on the galore of glamour and extravagance provided by our renowned designers and beauty pageants. The three-day fashion event had an amazing line up of designers who showed their vintage and traditional penchants to attires voguish festive attires.

FPW 2018: Day 1

Day one was scheduled with an overwhelming assemble of seven designers.

Tena Durrani

With the artistically crafted couture, Tena Durrani took a leap with her exquisite collection “Rara Avis“. The bridal dresses filled with artisan of tilla, dabka, and gota paid a reverence to desi culture.

Huma Adnan

From the hills of her homeland Uttarakhand, Huma Adnan showed us glimpses of Himalayan finesse in her carefully assorted attires of “Tales of Dehradun“.

Lajwanti

With Sana Javed and Imran Abbas as showstoppers, Lajwanti definitely set a benchmark with the subtle tones of pastel colors in her collection “Riwaj“.

Zainab Chottani

Zainab’s “Khuwaab” had everything. From playful colors to the traditional and regal garbs. Though the winning point was when the show made it to the headlines with Mehreen Saeed stumbling and then picking her self up like a queen, on the ramp. More power to the super model= mother-to-be!

Aamna Aqeel

Amidst our classical festive collection, “Dazzling Dales” stood out because of its monochrome theme with a chic voguish regard. The golden embellishment stood out on the overcoats and cupcake skirts, designed in the hues of maroon red, black and grey.

Hassan Shehryar Yaseen

The only show pertaining to our Pakistani men, “Elements” showed a new light to the menswear style. Dashing young men wearing tuxedos of various types walked the ramp, to finalize the beautiful night.

 

Hunia Yousuf is a medical (MBBS) student and a psychiatry aspirant. She is a self proclaimed extroverted-introvert. While casually reading (more like breathing) fiction, she learnt to generate characters of her own and weave them into a plot for her own pleasure.
