Bridal Couture Week 2018- Another Opulent Event To Celebrate Our Traditions!

There are many things good about the winters, but the thing that easily takes the win in Pakistan is Weddings. Just as the temperature degrees drop, the wedding invitation cards also start pouring in from our letterboxes (flashback to the Harry Potter’s Hogwarts invitation).

Pantene HUM Bridal Couture Week 2018

To celebrate the winters and wedding, Pantene HUM arranged the 19th edition of Bridal Couture Week 2018 earlier this month on 7th, 8th, and 9th of Dec. The most splendid event of season invited most prominent names in bridal wear, and the most renowned brand names and designers -including some talented emerging talent too- to showcase their best of the bridal collections under the direction of ex-supermodel Vaneeza Ahmed, in Lahore.

The huge extravagant affair featured many of the celebrities as showstopper including Mawra Hocaine, Iqra Aziz, Neelum Munir, Hania Amir, Sajjal Ali, and many other famous artists. The models walked the ramp in well designed bridal outfits with all the glitz and regal flourish. The current bridal trends were revamped in the bridal couture week 2018 as the designers tried to compete with the demands of Pakistani fashion.

Day 1

The bridal couture showcased on day one started with Aish Imran’s Daastan-e-Ishq. Team Arth 2 had us all awestruck or sure because of the interesting superstar line-up of Fahad Hussain, Mohib Mirza, Shan, Humaima Malick, and Uzma Hussain. Reema Ahsan also surprised us with her great artisan, when Mira Sethi walked in an opulent heavily embroidered lehenga of plum color. Other artists who showed their collections were Mifrah, Emraan Rajput, Tabassum Mughal, Ansab Jahangir, Humayun Alamgir, and Mohsin Ranjha.

Day 2

Day two started with Ziggi Menswear’s collection Burda, which consisted of exquisite pieces to feed off Pakistani men’s bridal fashion desires. It was followed by Ayesha Sadya, Faiqa Karim, and Royal Tag’s bridal couture 18-19 concluded the first show. For the next show, Uzma Babar’s impeccable assortment named Mubbatnaama stunned us with its beautiful cuts and heavy embroidery. Next Everthine by Samar and Haris Shakeel presented their collections. The day was concluded by the retail brand MNR Design Studio’s bridal couture that was the perfect display of our heritage and opulent traditions,

Day 3

The last day of the three-day event had us enjoy the dazzling presence of Iqra Aziz as the showstopper for the designer, Nicke Nina. Annus Abrar also brought the beautiful actress Neelum Munir to catwalk the ramps as the showstopper for his collection Shehnaai. Munib Nawaz had us all moved with a mesmerizing performance by Zeb Bangash. The finale concluded with the HSY’s exquisite collection Shaah by bringing out Mawra Hocaine to awestruck everyone with the decent play of colors.
